Carpel Tunnel Syndrome

carpal tunnel syndromeCarpel Tunnel is a condition of the hand which generally is experienced as pain, numbness, and tingling.  It is located primarily in the thumb and first two fingers, and is most prominent at night.  This condition is usually a result of an irritation or compression of the median nerve.  It is usually considered a result of problems with this nerve as it passes through the area of the wrist called the “carpel tunnel”.  However, since the median nerve originates in the neck, often times the source of dysfunction may be anywhere in the neck, shoulder or upper extremity.  Therefore, for best resolution of this condition, a comprehensive evaluation of your structure is important.
